Mysterious Swedish producer WHYLO returns to Gemstone with a brand new record named “G+O”. Marking his second release on Hardwell’s imprint, this track perfectly fuses together a medley of acoustic and classical instruments with powerful bass sounds and eclectic synth and vocal melodies.
“G+O” immediately confronts listeners with an animated 808 pattern and a dreamy vocal topline. Punchy kicks and snares anchored by crispy hi-hats retain the energy of the track while emotional violins play in the background. The track is then suspended by an atmospheric break led by subtle electric guitar strums before culminating to a warm pluck lead and wispy vocal melody.
While still remaining anonymous, WHYLO has gained support from heavyweights like Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, and Tiësto. WHYLO’s first track ‘Next Summer’ was handpicked by Tiësto to be the 200th release on his label Musical Freedom; the track has already gained over 4 million plays on Spotify. Earlier this summer, WHYLO released 'SO AM I' featuring Dutch singer/songwriter Jantine on Gemstone Records.
